PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The LoB Finance – Financial Operation team is an experienced group within SAP working on core SAP products, including S/4HANA Cloud Editions and several SAP Cloud Platform apps. The focus of the group is on driving innovations in payment processes of a corporate customer towards a bank with state-of-the-art user experience for their product portfolio as well as ensuring a stable core that meets the customer requirements.

To make the portfolio fit for the future, the group sets a clear investment focus on process optimization and TCO reduction leveraging latest technologies by developing several SAP Cloud Platform apps.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud for central payment management streamlines and monitors all payments to receive a central view on a corporate’s cash situation, integrating SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA Cloud as well as non-SAP systems.

Currently we’re seeking a product owner to further strengthen one of our Brno scrum teams working on the SAP Cloud Platform; which will strongly collaborate with the other Finance teams around the globe (Shanghai, Walldorf, Brno and Palo Alto), particularly with colleagues in Walldorf, Germany.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As product owner in S/4HANA Central Payment Management, you will be covering all stages and tasks within the entire development cycle.

In your role you will:

• Own and prioritize the team’s product backlog in close collaboration with the chief product owners of cash and payment applications and solution management and make sure your team has a comprehensive understanding of the backlog short-term and long-term
• Be responsible for success, quality, cost and delivery of our team`s contribution to Central Payment Management along the whole product lifecycle
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software in close alignment with release management, production and other stakeholders
• Roll-in and analyze requirements in close collaboration with solution management, define business processes/use cases within the product itself, map them to related SAP applications and contribute to building the long-term strategy and product roadmap for Central Payment Management
• Co-innovate with customers and partners. Provide their feedback back to the development team(s)
• Position and roll-out innovations and product enhancements to customers, partners, and the SAP internal audience in collaboration with solution management To deliver first class results, you handle your tasks with enthusiasm and personal commitment. You have the ambition of building future-proof products and using state-of-the-art technologies.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or related fields
• Very strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including ability to rapidly gather data, structure hypotheses, and develop synthesized findings/recommendations
• Strong team orientation and ability to thrive on virtual, international, cross-functional teams
• Excellent application and business process knowhow in payment processes within S/4HANA and their associated business processes
• Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate with customers on senior management level
• Fluent in English, spoken and written. German is a plus.

Preferred

• Profound knowledge S/4HANA Bank Communication Management, In-House Cash, partially Cash Management is a big plus

WORK EXPERIENCE

We are looking for candidates with at least 3 years of work experience as a product owner, in consulting or product management, or in customer facing leadership roles.
