As part of SAP’s IT Services organization, Enterprise Data Technology (EDT) is responsible for providing consultancy & technology expertise in the areas of data management mastering data migration, integration, quality management and data privacy projects in SAP’s hybrid system landscape. Here we act as the Business’ trusted advisor and expert, driving together the simplification of business processes based on a user-centric approach. In a joint responsibility with the respective business teams, we identify strategic priorities, determine the portfolio and corresponding execution plans. We are hiring an IT Project Consultant joining the newly founded Data Protection & Privacy (DPP) team, who will act as go to person and project manager for the implementation of solutions within SAP IT addressing the various DPP requirements, such as retention management, data subject right request processing, and consent management.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS In this role we see the following main responsibilities and tasks: - Manage IT DPP portfolio projects of high complexity and diversity - Define and manage PMO functions to support project delivery according to the IT Services delivery standards (e.g. PMBOK for foundational PgM setup and Agile Software Development for daily execution) - Connect, collaborate & communicate closely with all affected units and different LoBs (SAP IT Services, SAP Standard Product Development, SAP Consulting, external partners, etc.) to establish and ensure compliance with DPP standards - Working in an agile and international development environment which requires the individual to be self-driven, flexible and take decisions independently

- Master’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Technical Engineering or related field - Knowledge about and/or a fundamentally positive attitude to international DPP requirements, such as GDPR, CCPA, and others - Technical Background in software development ideally in on-premise and Cloud environments; - Sound Knowledge about agile software development principles, methods and techniques  - Experience in working with international teams with focus on implementation, operation and infrastructure topics, ideally in a DevOps approach
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- High level of motivation, flexibility and agility
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
- 4+ years of work experience as project manager in large IT organizations
- Proven track record of successful project delivery
