PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Global organizations increasingly rely on many sources of talent beyond their traditional, full-time employees – this is known as the external workforce. External workers are a vital part of SAP’s business and the SAP External Workforce Management Office is a newly established team created to drive excellence in SAP’s External Workforce operations and processes.

We are looking for a Program Lead to manage the External Workforce Management Office at SAP. The Program Lead is a tactical implementer and a consultative individual who understands the power of innovation, technology, data insights and analytics, the importance of change management and customer experience, and the role they all play in delivering the best run external workforce operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a diverse virtual team and ensure business continuity and success.
Manage the personal and professional development of the team.
Align day-to-day operational activities to efficiently realize strategic goals
Collaborate with cross-functional partners including HR, IT, Procurement, Compliance and Finance teams to drive process consistency and compliance.
Drive program level project initiatives.
Advocate for change management measures to support program success
Drive strategic topics including holistic supplier evaluation, deep category management, enhance visibility & compliance
Identify opportunities to bring best practices and market-leading solutions into the SAP external workforce processes
Deliver key program events while understanding desired benefits
Ensure KPIs/SLAs are being met or exceeded
Continuously monitor program status against goals and ensure timely and proactive issue resolution
Participate in strategic projects as required
Establish and maintain a professional, strategic working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
Partner with SAP IT and Product Engineering to ensure External Workforce activities are properly represented within the applications
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Previous successful experience in people leadership
A passion for driving operational excellence
Proven ability to execute and get things done to high standards
Detail-oriented, self-starter with experience working on multiple projects in parallel, excellent follow-through, and the ability to solve unstructured problems
Aptitude for collaboration in a cross functional environment
Able to set priorities & multi-task
Very strong aptitude for Continuous Improvement, quality management and driving change
Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
Passion for solving business problems
Demonstrated success in service delivery and operations management.
Experience of influencing decision makers and challenging and supporting the organization to drive transformation and innovation
Experience with Software-as-a-Service or Cloud delivery model is a benefit
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent English (written & spoken)
DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Exposure to sourcing/procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
Previous workforce management experience - Contingent Staffing, SOW, Temporary Staffing, MSP/VMS
Previous experience of working with compliance topics an advantage
Experience of HR, Procurement or Finance processes within a large enterprise
Experience in managing global programs strongly preferred.
Experience of other business applications such as CRM, ERP, or financial systems
Understanding of employment legislation
Project Management experience is an advantage
