External workers are a vital part of SAP’s business and the External Workforce Management Office drives excellence in SAP’s External Workforce operations, processes and associated technologies.
We are looking for a Supply Chain Lead to join our external workforce management office. The supply chain lead combines tactical management with insight for continuous improvement related to all external workforce supply chain topics.
The EWMO works in partnership with all functions involved in external workforce topics including finance, procurement, HR and IT within a complex process and technology landscape to deliver on business needs by bringing a holistic approach to External Workforce Management within SAP. The EWMO is responsible for the utilization and management of SAP Fieldglass within SAP


Works to ensure the business needs for services, external skills and talent are met through effective supply chain management
Designs, implements and manages effective supplier performance monitoring approach
Focuses on enforcing contract compliance
Customer focused approach – seeks to understand the business operations and needs, assess impact
Drives compliant use sourcing channels in line with global and local policies
Works with analysts to create reports which are insightful and can be leveraged to drive innovation in the external workforce supply chain
Manages the analyses of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of suppliers via Key Performance Indicators
Works in partnership with analysts to forecast and analyze demand, leveraging the output to work with procurement to ensure a robust supply chain is in place to support SAP.
Evaluates supplier utilisation and makes recommendations based on insights
Drives quality agenda throughout supply chain
Creates and monitors quality measurements to effectively track supplier performance across the external workforce
Identifies and executes on opportunities to drive innovation within supplier management and supply chain
Customer centric approach to all activities
Seeks to ensure Best Run Intelligent Enterprise approach is taken in relation to all sourcing processes related to external workforce
Drives value through process improvement and effective supply chain management
Works in partnership with HR to drive a total workforce agenda within the business
Act as an agent for change
Works with cross functional teams to ensure effective and efficient supply chain solutions are in place for all External Workforce categories
Collates and provides feedback to process specialists and IT to drive improvements for teams and customers
Supports EWMO to drive change through process improvement and enablement

Strong presenting and public speaking skills
Project management experience
Experience of working with the workforce, procurement or finances organizations of a multi-national organization and the ability to understand the complexity of such environments.
